I’m very pleased to announced that my song “Android Ashley” has been selected as a winner of Taylor Louderman’s Write Out Loud song contest. It will receive a professional recording on Ghostlight Records! Stay tuned for more in the coming months, but for now, give a listen to this now-prizewinning composition!
Come check out a few brand-new BML tunes on the Sunday night before a Monday off! I’ll be presenting my usual eclectic mix of songs about robots, teenage girls, and teen girl robots as part of The Duplex’s long-running and beloved In the Works series. Our set will include one piece with music by my collaborator Yoonmi Lee and performances from Aaron Phillips, Christiana Cole, Sam Heldt, and of course Hana Slevin. Read more below!

Returning for the 8th year in a row to the 24-Hour Play Festival at Rhode Island’s Contemporary Theater Company, Brandon finally managed to repeat the success of his very first appearance at the fest. His play One More Round, a structurally impish sci-fi rom-com romp, snagged the festival’s Best Play award (with huge thanks to his wonderful, if randomly selected, collaborators)!
I’ll be playing a set for friends Broad Views on Broadway‘s holiday gala Wonderland along with a number of other chill artists, plus food, festivities, and friends. Come check out the great work they’re doing and hear a set of songs I’m branding BML’s Future Robot Conquest Pre-Anniversary Holiday Semi-Spectacular.
Sunday, 16 Dec., 5:00 P.M. (I go on at 7)
173 Jefferson Street, Brooklyn
I’ve returned to Shoshana Greenberg‘s podcast Scene to Song for the season finale, where we answer listener questions, proclaim the greatness of Giant, and celebrate the enshrinement of presidential cabinet members in musical theater lore.

I’ll be writing a new tune for the MuseMatch series again, this time working with the very cool Janelle Lawrence. This is that thing where writers and singers are paired on collaborative “blind dates” to create new work. This concert will benefit the nonprofit Ali Forney Center.

Check out the latest episode of my friends and fellow artists Julia Meinwald and Sam Heldt‘s show, The 29-Hour Podcast, a free-flowing conversation among makers of new musical theater. I join them to discuss (among many other topics) the Venn diagram of arts and engineering, online sincerity and the horror of self-marketing, and what exactly are dogs?
