My dear friends at the Contemporary Theater Company in Rhode Island are producing a new evening of micro-plays called the One-Hour Theater Challenge. Get your tickets here.
CTC describes the show as follows:
In one hour, our actors perform dozens of plays – some short and some very short. All are written by CTC company members, and each night features a different group of plays and performers! The plays run the gamut from hilarious to touching. If we don’t finish in time, the audience gets to punish us – come see if we make it!
Starting last October(!), I’ve responded to the prompts sent out by CTC’s artistic director, Chris Simpson, with over 25(!!) short plays, some of which will end up in the performances this summer. If you’re in RI, make sure to check it out! June 26 & 27, July 2, 3, 5, 9-12, all at 7 P.M. If you can’t make this round, there will be another run in August and September, so stay tuned!
